FOZZY, the rock band led by Chris Jericho, will kick off the Judas Rising Tour 2018 in New Orleans on February 28.
The entire tour will span 25 days and take the band from the east coast to the west, stopping in Los Angeles, New York City and a host of cities in between. Through Fire, Santa Cruz and Dark Star Choir will be accompanying FOZZY on the tour.
The upcoming dates come not long after the release of the band’s seventh album, Judas. The album’s title-track was released in May 2017 and has since garnered attention; the single has become a top-five hit on the active rock airplay chart, has spent five weeks at number one on Sirius/XM’s ‘Big Uns Countdown’ and has amassed over 11 million views on YouTube.
Needless to say, “Judas” is certainly the biggest single of FOZZY’s career. Peaking at #45 this past spring, it is also the band’s first single ever to reach the Billboard Hot Rock Songs chart, which ranks rock tracks based on sales, streams and airplay.
FOZZY features Jericho on vocals, Rich Ward on guitar and vocals, Frank Fontsere on drums, Billy Grey on guitar and Paul DiLeo on bass.
Through Fire is another band that will surely put on worthy shows throughout the tour; their first single “Stronger” was released on iTunes on February 5, 2016, and ranked number one on iTunes and Octane. The single was also the official theme to WWE’s Backlash 2016 Pay Per View.
Santa Cruz, meanwhile, will be promoting its new album Bad Blood Rising. Dark Sky Choir will round out the tour, bolstering its self-titled release that came out this past summer.
Tickets for newly announced dates go on sale on Friday, December 8.
