R&B superstar Chris Brown will headline a show at the Smoothie King Center on Thursday, April 13. The concert will be part of The Party Tour, an outing that will also bring 50 Cent, Fabolous, O.T. Genasis and Kap G to the Crescent City.
The tour’s name is a reference to “Party,” the first single from Brown’s forthcoming album Heartbreak on a Full Moon. The track features appearances by Usher and Gucci Mane.
Brown’s smooth vocals and equally smooth dance moves have earned him six #1 singles over the course of a 10-year career. His off-stage reputation is far from all-positive, however, and he has been the focus of a hefty amount of negative media attention. The most noteworthy occurrence took place in 2009, when he plead guilty to felony assault after attacking then-girlfriend Rihanna during a domestic violence incident.
Tickets for The Party Tour’s New Orleans stop will go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday, March 3.
