Children’s Hospital New Orleans has launched a Taylor Swift Eras Tour ticket raffle, aimed at supporting the hospital’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. This initiative is part of the 42nd annual Sugarplum Ball, with all proceeds contributing to the development of a new Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant Unit at Children’s Hospital.
The hospital is offering a chance to win 28 suite tickets for the New Orleans Taylor Swift Eras Tour scheduled for October 26, 2024, at the Caesar’s Superdome. Interested participants can purchase raffle tickets for $200 each, with a maximum of 5,000 chances available at chnola.org/taylor. Seven lucky winners, each receiving four tickets, will be drawn and notified on Saturday, March 23, 2024.
President and CEO of Children’s Hospital New Orleans, Lucio A. Fragoso, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and for no greater cause. Raffle ticket sales will benefit the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children’s Hospital New Orleans, with proceeds immediately funding a new Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant Unit.”
The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders specializes in advanced treatments for children with various conditions, including leukemia, lymphoma, sickle cell anemia, hemophilia, and other childhood cancers and blood disorders. As the only accredited pediatric stem cell transplant facility in the state, Children’s Hospital performs bone marrow transplants and CAR-T cell therapy. The funds raised will contribute to enhancing patient experiences through the establishment of a new Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant Unit.
Children’s Hospital has cared for 20 transplant patients this year, with expectations of this number growing as the hospital continues to develop its Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program. The hospital will be the sole facility in Louisiana offering FDA-approved gene therapy for Sickle Cell disease patients starting in 2024.
All proceeds from the Taylor Swift Eras Tour raffle will directly support these efforts. To participate, learn more, and purchase raffle tickets, please visit chnola.org/taylor.
