Chicago-based country blues band Bubbles Brown is set to perform at the Apple Barrel Bar in New Orleans with a series of shows. The duo, composed of Bubbles Brown on guitar, banjo, harmonica, and vocals, and Washboard Ben on percussion and vocals, initially gained recognition through street performances in Chicago before making their way to stages across the country.
All four shows at the Apple Barrel Bar will commence at 6 p.m. Those interested in attending can find information on how to RSVP on the official Bubbles Brown website. The Apple Barrel is known by many as Coco Robicheaux’s favorite hangout spot and has also proven itself as one of the more intimate Frenchmen Street venues.
Bubbles Brown recently released their latest album, Blood Harmony, in May 2022. The album is a concept piece divided into two parts: Light and Dark, featuring a total of 20 songs across two LPs. It is available for streaming and purchase on various platforms, including Bandcamp, iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and the Bubbles Brown website.
Currently, the duo is in the midst of an extensive tour, spanning from Missouri to Florida, which includes several shows in their home state of Illinois. In New Orleans, they will be performing at the Apple Barrel Bar on Thursday, June 1, Friday, June 2, Thursday, June 8, and Friday, June 9.
