Baldwin & Co., an independent book store on Elysian Fields Avenue, will host Charlamagne Tha God, Rickey Smiley and Wallace “Wallo267” Peeples at various events next month. These influential personalities who have shaped popular culture and used their platforms to advocate for change. Baldwin & Co. is dedicated to fostering intellectual and cultural growth in New Orleans.

“Wall 0267” will be present for an author talk and book signing. Considered a cultural icon and motivational speaker whose story of resilience and redemption has inspired millions,  his journey from incarceration to becoming a successful entrepreneur and influencer is a powerful narrative that resonates deeply, especially with younger audiences seeking motivation and guidance. His event will be held Sept. 12 at 7 p.m.

Rickey Smiley, the comedian, radio host, and author, will be onstage at Baldwin & Co. Sept. 20 at 5:30 p.m. Known for his relatable humor and touching stories, his influence spans decades, making him a beloved figure in the entertainment industry and a powerful voice in the community.

Charlamagne Tha God, co-host of  The Breakfast Club, is not only a leading figure in radio and television but also a bestselling author and mental health advocate. His candid conversations on race, culture, and mental health have made him a critical voice in today’s social discourse. He will be at Baldwin & Co. on Sept. 20 at 7:30 p.m.
