NBC’s The Voice contestant and local singer, Casmè, is set to debut an online “Gumbo” extravaganza highlighting the fashion, art, culture, stunning visuals, and dance of New Orleans set to her original music.
Casmè, who dazzled celebrity judges John Legend and Gwen Stefani on last season of The Voice, said in a statement: “I am so excited to present this gumbo experience for my fans! My team and I worked extremely hard last year to make sure this venture would bring joy to many in 2021. I pray that, through this project, my God-given talents are able to make you dance, tap your feet, reminisce, dream again, nod your head, or sing along as you join me for an experience of all that music has to offer!”
Last year Casmè talked to OffBeat about her music, stating, “I’m not a perfect singer. I’m a people singer. I sing for people. I sing and connect with people. And I don’t sing bashing people. I always sing about positives—even when I end a relationship and sing about it, I end the song about it on a positive. I’ve always written my songs with a solution in the bridges and on the hook. Every day we have an opportunity to use our gift to heal.”
The Casmè Gumbo Experience will be a highlight reel of the artist presenting Motown-styled songs.
Tickets to the streamed 12-part event are available for purchase here.
