OffBeat Magazine wants to read your writing!

We’re currently seeking creative, non-fiction submissions from High School and University students based in the New Orleans area.

They should be between 600-1500 words and concentrate on New Orleans music, art, food, etc.

Whatever you love about your city’s culture, we want to hear about it!

Submissions will be reviewed by our staff and five finalists will be selected. Their articles will be posted on OffBeat.com and shared with OffBeat’s 34,000+ Facebook followers. OffBeat will conduct short interviews with each finalist and their profiles will be posted along with their articles.

This is a great opportunity for students who’d like to get their work seen and participate in documenting the culture of their city.
