New Orleans’ Bywater Funk Fall Festival has been postponed until 2017.
The inaugural event, which was organized by the N’Fungola Sibo African Dance and Drum Company, was slated to take place Saturday, November 19 in Armstrong Park. However, the fest’s decision to reschedule was confirmed via a post on it’s Facebook page that reads: “Postponed Until 2017 due to unforeseen last minute circumstances! We apologize and Thank everyone for their support.”
The first Bywater Funk Fall Festival was supposed to feature performances by Hot 8 Brass Band, Joe Krown Trio, UNLV, Higher Heights, Zena Moses and Rue Fiyah, Ambush, Big Chief Juan Pardo and Ed Willis & The Blues 4 Sale. It was also going to be free and open to the public.
There’s currently no word on when the festival will end up taking place or who will perform when it does. More information will be reported as it comes.
