Bywater Bakery will host a King Cake Festival on Sunday, February 6, as a fundraiser for Makin’ Groceries, an initiative of the New Orleans Musicians’ Assistance Foundation.
Launched in 2020, Makin’ Groceries provides weekly, home-delivered care packages of nutritious groceries, prepared meals and community health education materials to more than 100 elderly and medically vulnerable patients and their families who are served by the Musicians’ Assistance Foundation. Bywater Bakery has donated weekly fresh baked bread and seasonal treats for the program.

Bywater Bakery, located at 3624 Dauphine Street, will offer their selection of both sweet and savory king cakes along with other baked goods and menu items.
The block party will also serve as a COVID-19 testing site. Vaccinations and boosters shots will also be available along with a blood drive station.
