The Buku Music + Art Project has finalized its lineup with a few artists additions. The popular, electronic music-centric festival will now feature electro-pop duo Purity Ring, house producer Deorro, hip-hop act Rae Sremmand, bass producer Datsik and live electronic duo Break Science, among others.
The new artists join a lineup that already includes headliners Pretty Lights (live band) and Kid Cudi, as well as Chvrches, Future, Above & Beyond, Miike Snow, Nero, Fetty Wap, Griz, Crystal Castles, A$AP Ferg, Mystikal/Juvenile/Fly Boi Keno, Givers and many more.
The festival has also announced that six local collectives will curate showacases in the event’s grassy “front yard.” Among those will be bounce showcase from “Chef” Big Freed (who is gearing up to release a cookbook), a showcase from indie rock management company Simple Play and a series of performances by students from the Upbeat Academy Foundation, a local nonprofit that benefits from a portion of the festival’s ticket sales.
Buku will return to Mardi Gras World in New Orleans on March 11 and 12.
Tickets for the event are now on sale, and you can check out the full list of artists and showcases here.
