BUKU Late Night, a festival after -party series, has just provided audiences with the opportunity to see a rare music set this year. The event will be the first time that band From First to Last will perform live together in two years. The show will be held at Republic in New Orleans on March 22, 2019.
Presented by Emo Nite LA and BUKU Music + Art Project, the event is part of the two-day festival’s “BUKU Late.” This will be the band’s first performance since the 2017 reunion at Emo Nite Los Angeles party, which marked their first time playing together in over a decade. The lineup will feature drummer Derek Bloom; lead guitarist and keyboardist Matt Good; rhythm guitarist and vocalist Travis Richter; and lead vocalist and guitarist Sonny Moore a/k/a Skrillex, whose Dog Blood project with Boys Noize is headlining BUKU.
Emo Nite LA, an event created by three friends at a small dive bar in Los Angeles, has flourished in the past few years by collaborating and cultivating unique parties. In addition to this partnership with BUKU, Emo Nite LA has been able to put together rare events. They strive to bring together fans and artists alike to celebrate their mutual love of emo rock music.
BUKU, produced by Winter Circle Productions, is an urban festival that celebrates the subculture of New Orleans. The festival has run for eight years now and has been known in previous years for its dance and rap music interest. Beginning last year, BUKU has begun to introduce emo, rock and metal into its lineup and will continue that this year.
