Electronic music superstar Deadmau5 and hip-hop chart-topper Travis Scott will headline the Buku Music + Art Project when the festival returns to New Orleans’ Mardi Gras World on March 10 and 11.
The popular two-day party will also feature sets from Zeds Dead, Young Thug, Tycho, Sleigh Bells, 21 Savage, Washed Out, ZHU, Vince Staples, Lil Dicky and many more, including virtuoso bassist and Kendrick Lamar collaborator Thundercat.
While Buku will draw talent and crowds from across the world, New Orleans artists will be represented at the event as well. R&B singer and Kehlani collaborator Ambre will perform at the festival, as will local acts like AF THE NAYSAYER, Caddywhompus, Boogie T, DJ MUSA, DJ Otto, sfam and DJ Lleauna. Additionally, Solange’s Saint Heron and the DOHM Collective will curate New Orleans-centric showcases.
Like many previous editions of Buku, last year’s festival sold out well in advance. Performers included Pretty Lights (who returns to Mardi Gras World for a New Year’s Eve run later this month”, Chvrches, Kid Cudi, Fetty Wap, Nero and Griz, among others.
