New Orleans continues to make drastic adjustments to daily life as the spread of the coronavirus and COVID-19 threatens music festivals and large public gatherings. Now, even local businesses are taking steps to address the pandemic.
Buffa’s Bar and Restaurant has announced it will begin implementing procedures to “maintain the health and safety of its employees and customers.” According to a press release, the Esplanade Avenue live music and dining venue “would like to reassure everyone” that it is “taking extra precautions to ensure” that “customers remain safe and healthy during their visits.”
Extra measures include cleaning surfaces multiple times a day, including menus and condiment bottles. Bathroom fixtures, sound equipment, counters, doors, chairs, table tops and video poker units are getting extra attention, as well.
“We are asking our customers do their parts by washing their hands thoroughly after using the rest rooms, and feel free to use the hand sanitizer we have on our bars in both the front and back,” the press release says.
As the public health crisis continues to affect the way the city operates, Buffa’s says it “will continue to offer one of the best choices in New Orleans for live, local music and great food. Should you decide to go out less during this time, please consider tuning into our web cam, which can be accessed from the web cam menu above and use the form on the page to tip our musicians for their hard work. You can also still enjoy our great food by ordering through Waitr.”
