At the 61st annual GRAMMY Awards earlier this month, Buddy Guy was named the winner of Best Traditional Blues Album, for The Blues Is Alive and Well. His work is currently being celebrated by Vinyl Me, Please, who have chosen Guy’s Left My Blues In San Francisco as its February Classics record of the month.
Described as “an important document of late-’60s blues,” Buddy Guy’s Left My Blues In San Francisco is one of the Louisiana native’s lesser-known works and “an alternate history to the narrative arc that has Eric Clapton and Keith Richards synthesizing delta blues for a new generation.”
Pressed on 180g black vinyl with a heavyweight tip-on jacket, the reissue can be yours by signing up here for VMP’s Record of the Month Club.
