The Mardi Gras Indian Super Sunday celebration has been moved due to rain once again, this time to Sunday, March 30. The New Orleans Mardi Gras Indian Council announced in a press release this morning that the chances of rain on this Sunday, March 23, are still too high.
Super Sunday was originally supposed to take place on Sunday, March 16, just before St. Joseph’s Day.
There have been no changes to the route, which will begin at Washington Avenue and LaSalle Street, move onto Simon Bolivar Avenue, turn left onto Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, left onto Claiborne Avenue, left onto Washington Avenue, and back to A.L. Davis Park on Washington and LaSalle.
