New Orleans is set to welcome the Black & Loud Fest this April, celebrating Black artists and Black-fronted bands with two nights of dynamic performances at the House of Blues Parish Room. The festival, taking place on April 10 and April 12, will feature a lineup including Cyril Neville, Omari Neville and the Fuel, King Youngblood and more.
A key highlight of this year’s event is its partnership with the French Quarter Fest After Dark concert series, further expanding the festival’s reach and impact. Attendees will be led in second-line fashion from the Jack Daniel’s VIP tent on the French Quarter Fest grounds to the House of Blues Parish Room by the Black and Loud Brass Band, curated by Liryca Neville.
Event curator Cyril Neville expressed his excitement about the festival’s growth in a press release, stating, “My nephew Cameron Lavi-Jones and his band King Youngblood represent the future of alternative Black music, and obviously, since I am Black and Loud, I fit the bill too! Very proud to be on the board of this national movement and roll out with these young people across the country, starting with my hometown New Orleans.”
Originally founded in Seattle four years ago, Black & Loud Fest is set for national expansion in 2025 and beyond, with planned stops in Brooklyn, Atlanta, Nashville, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas and more.
