The Historic BK House & Gardens is keeping the Mardi Gras spirit alive with the return of its Rhythm & Roses Concert Series, beginning March 20. This annual five-week series, held in the scenic Parterre Garden, is made possible through the support of local benefactor James Douglas Hislop and features a diverse lineup of artists spanning jazz, funk, folk, Cajun, and cinematic string arrangements.
2025 Rhythm & Roses Concert Lineup:
- March 20 – Cha Wa | The Grammy-nominated New Orleans funk band blends traditional Mardi Gras Indian music with modern funk and second-line rhythms.
- April 3 – Yusa | The Cuban-born singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist fuses funk, jazz, rap, and soul into her dynamic performances.
- April 10 – French Quarter Festival Bands | BK House will host a special lineup in collaboration with French Quarter Festival, with details to be announced.
- April 17 – Amanda Shaw | The Louisiana fiddle prodigy and award-winning artist brings her high-energy blend of Cajun, rock, and roots music.
- May 1 – Kristin Diable & Radio Bird String Quartet | A unique fusion of folk, rock, and orchestral string arrangements featuring members of the Grammy-winning LA Philharmonic Orchestra.
Ticket & Event Information:
All concerts take place at the BK House’s Parterre Garden (1113 Chartres Street, New Orleans), with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. and performances starting at 6 p.m.
