Bill Maher will perform at the Saenger Theatre on Saturday, March 18. The show—an exclusive engagement that is not associated with any particular tour—will find the politically-charged comedian going back to his stand-up comedy roots.

For the past 14 years, Maher has hosted HBO’s Real Time, an unflinching talk show that has featured guests like President Barack Obama, Vice President Joseph Biden, Bernie Sanders, Pat Buchanan, Eva Longoria, Drew Barrymore, Rev. Jesse Jackson and many more. In 2008 he directed, produced and starred in Religulous, the eighth-highest grossing documentary ever.

Maher began his career as a stand-up comic in 1979, and continues to perform regularly in Las Vegas and other parts of the United States. He has shot ten stand-up specials for HBO, four of which have been nominated for Emmy Awards.
