Get ready to experience the electrifying fusion of Bounce music and orchestral symphony as Big Freedia returns to the Orpheum Theater for an encore performance with the Grammy Award-winning Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO) on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 8 p.m.

Big Freedia, known as the Queen of New Orleans Bounce, is a Grammy-nominated hip-hop artist, TV personality, and cultural influencer. With an infectious energy and personality, Big Freedia has captivated audiences worldwide with her electrifying performances and unwavering advocacy for equality and LGBTQ+ rights.

The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO) is the region’s premier orchestra, rooted in a culturally diverse community with a rich tradition of orchestral music. Led by Music Director Matthew Kraemer, the LPO sets the standard for orchestral programming and performance in Louisiana, striving for excellence both on and off the stage.

“Last April, we made history with the first ever Bounce Orchestra Concert,” says Big Freedia. “I am overjoyed to have the opportunity to bring this show back to the Orpheum Theatre for another magical night. You Already Knooooow!” 

The performance will feature Big Freedia’s iconic hits, including “Explode,” “Gin in My System,” “NO Bounce,” and new releases that are taking the music industry by storm. Accompanied by the harmonious melodies of the LPO, under the direction of Grammy Award-winning composer Jay Weigel, this fusion of genres promises to be a feast for the senses.
