Big Freedia: Queen of Bounce will return for a fifth season in 2016. Fuse announced the move today after revealing that the program’s season four premiere was the most watched season premiere in the network’s history.

The fourth season of Queen of Bounce focused on Big Freedia’s growing national profile, her relationship issues and the the process of writing her new memoir and recording her new album. That forthcoming record features the new single “Crazy,” and is slated for release some time next year.

In a recent interview with OffBeat, Big Freedia told us that she was “very, very surprised” by the success of the show, which has been bringing Nw Orleans bounce music to the masses since it debuted in 2013. Nevertheless, Queen of Bounce continues to be Fuse’s top original program for its core 18-34 audience.
