Funeral arrangements for Big Chief Theodore “Bo” Dollis, who died this week at the age of 71, have been set for this weekend.
A visitation and music tribute will be held at the Carver Theater on Friday, January 30. The visitation, which will begin at 4 p.m and last until 7 p.m., will be free and open to the public.
A musical tribute will follow at 8 p.m., and there will be a $15 cover charge for that event.
On Saturday, January 31, visitation will begin at 8 a.m. at the Xavier University Convocation Center, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m.
The funeral service will be followed by interment at Providence Park Cemetery at 8200 Airline Drive in Metairie, and another gathering will be held at the Carver Theater after the service and interment. Repast will be held at the NORD Lyons Center, 624 Louisiana at Tchoupitoulas Street (where the tribute to Dollis was held in October).
