Not only in New Orleans is the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina being acknowledged.
Beth McKee—former member of Evangeline just released her third solo album Sugarcane Revival. It was reviewed by Brett Milano in OffBeat’s August 2015 issue. Beth is planning a Hurricane Party at the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 6 p.m.
The concert will feature Tommy Malone and Jeffrey Dean Foster in a songwriter-in-the-round, showcasing recent work and a discussion of the songwriting process. Beth McKee will launch the second set and will be performing songs from Sugarcane Revival with special guests performing New Orleans-centric songs in a coordinated jam.
New Orleans food and drink will be available.
