The Best of the Beat, OffBeat‘s annual awards show, takes place January 27, 2012, and for one day only, tickets are $15.
At the Best of the Beat, we honor the finest in New Orleans music. We’ll recognize lifetime achievement honorees George Porter, Jr., John Rankin, producer Scott Billington and lawyer Mary Howell, and we’ll have live music on two stages with performances by Porter, Glen David Andrews, the Soul Rebels, Big Freedia, the Lost Bayou Ramblers, Aurora Nealand and the Royal Roses and more. We have food from many of the top restaurants in town, and admission to the night at Generations Hall is $35.
This year’s tickets are on an escalating pricing scale. Starting tomorrow through Christmas, tickets are only $20. Starting December 26 through January 15, tickets go up to $25; and from January 16 to January 26, tickets will cost $30. The day of the event, tickets will be $35.
