On the first Saturday of October, the 4th Annual Beignet Fest presented by French Market Coffee is set to entertain your taste buds into extra sweet submission. Revelers will enjoy this event which was created to raise awareness for autism in partnership with the Tres Doux Foundation.
This year’s festivities include more than 30 different kinds of beignet dishes and a plethora of food vendors such as:
Afrodisiac Food Truck: Jerk Chicken Beignet, Jamaican Beef Patty Beignet, Spinach and Artichoke Stuffed Beignet
Any O’Cajun: Crawfish and Corn Beignets, Crab Slider
Café du Monde: Traditional Beignets for VIP Patrons (served in VIP Experience Tent 10 am to 12 noon)
Camellia Brand: Red Beans and Rice
Cocoa and Cream Catering Food Truck: Fig and Cream Cheese Mardi Gras Beignet, Smoked Pulled Pork Beignet, Monte Cristo Beignet

Additionally, the festival includes a Resource Walk and Kid’s Village for children, presented by Ochsner Hospital. For adults, there will be a Beer Garden with tents and Artist Market with handmade local art. In true NOLA style throughout the day live, local music will be played by artists: Imagination Movers, RumpelSTEELskin, Honey Island Swamp Band, Hot 8 Brass Band and Big Sam’s Funky Nation.
The event will take place Saturday, October 5, 2019, from 10p-6p at the Festival Grounds in New Orleans City Park. General admission to Beignet Fest is $5 and can be purchased in advance or at the gate. Children 12 years old and under are free with an accompanying adult. For visitors looking for a few perks, Beignet Fest is offering a VIP Experience that includes a prime viewing space, complimentary coffee and beignets from Cafe du Monde and more.
