Tipitina’s Announces Bayou Boogaloo Benefit Concert

Later this month, Tipitina’s and Friends of the Bayou St. John will host a benefit for Mid-City Bayou Boogaloo. The opening day of the 2018 Bayou Boogaloo was canceled due to extreme weather which left much of the vendors’ tents and goods destroyed.

The 115 food and art vendors affected by the cancellation will be celebrated at June 30’s “The Lost Set: A Bayou Boogaloo Benefit.” The Low End Theory Players, Debauche and Tony Hall’s Allstars (Alvin Ford Jr, Ari Teitel, Tillis Verdin, Khris Royal, Renard Poche, Tracy Griffins, Roderick Paulin and Vitas Paukstaitis) will perform.

Sponsored by the Positive Vibrations Foundation, the Bayou Boogaloo benefit will open at 7 p.m. In addition to live music, there will be food trucks and art vendors outside of the venue. The evening will also include an auction.

General admission tickets are $20. VIP tickets are available for $50 and include access to the balcony and complimentary food and beverages. Tickets will be available at the door and in advance through www.tipitinas.com.
