Bayou Boogaloo announced its 2023 lineup for the Bayou St. John festival on May 19-21.
Headlining this year’s festival will be Juvenile with Partners N Crime & DJ Jubilee/The Big Easy Bounce Band. In addition, Yonder Mountain String Band, Boyfriend, Reverend Horton Heat, Rebirth Brass Band and The Iceman Special will also be at the top of this year’s bill.
Other acts performing include Eddie 9V, Bonerama, Hot 8 Brass Band, People Museum, Bon Bon Vivant, The Rumble, The Low End Theory Players, Johnny Sansone Band, Dinny Skip, Tasche and the Psychedelic Roses, Marcella Simien, The Quickening, LeTrainiump!, Them Ol’ Ghosts, and NOLA School of Rock.
This will also be the first year that Bayou Boogaloo will host a comedy stage featuring comedians Sean Patton, Rude Jude, Vincent Zambon, Mark Ceasar, Kimbra Li, Ukulele Jokes with Jo Palms and Thomas Jones as well as Wait What?, a comedy drinking game featuring Isaac Kozell and Geoffery Gauchet.
Boats, floats, canoes, kayaks and barges will have an additional fee to their admission of $2 to go towards the environmental preservation of Bayou St. John. Any person or group who desires to put a homemade barge in the water will be required to leave a $100.00 deposit, which will be refunded upon the user’s removal of the barge.
