Get ready for an electrifying weekend as the Mid-City Bayou Boogaloo 2024 announces its daily lineup and exciting festival highlights. Set to take place from May 17th to 19th at Bayou St. John, this year’s event promises a blend of music, arts, culture and fun for all attendees.
The daily lineup for the festival is out, featuring a diverse range of artists that will keep the energy high throughout the weekend. Alongside the music, attendees can look forward to a curated Arts Market, a Kid’s Cultural Pavilion with a kid friendly music lineup soon to be announced, the VIP Crescent 9 Canopy Club and even a Crawfish Eating Contest for those with a hearty appetite.

Friday, May 17 :
- Headlining Friday night will be former Prince bassist Nik West leading her own band
- New Orleans bass icon, former Meter and Funky Meter George Porter Jr. & his Runnin’ Pardners
- Plus: Quintron and Miss Pussycat, SaxKixAve and Dave Jordan & the NIA
- Acts at the Comedy & Cabaret tent on Friday include Stoned vs. Drunk vs. Sober hosted by Isaac Kozelland Lefty Lucy’s Burlesque Bingo. In Stoned vs. Drunk vs. Sober, audience members vote on who delivered the better comedy set: the stoned comedians, the drunk comedians or the sober comedians.

- Acts at the Comedy & Cabaret tent Saturday include LGBTLOL with Ryan Rogers and Shep Kelly, Matt Owens, Samantha Bednarz, Minx Burlesque and Bayou Roast Battle hosted by Pickle in which comedians skewer one another and the audience votes on the best roaster.

Adding to the festival’s charm, Louisiana Wildlife & Fisheries will host a baby alligator petting zoo, allowing visitors to get up close with these fascinating creatures. The event also maintains its commitment to eco-friendly practices, including recycling initiatives, ensuring a sustainable and enjoyable experience for everyone.
In addition to the music and activities, the 2024 Bayou Boogaloo poster has been revealed, showcasing the theme “Beneath the Surface: Bayou Boogaloo” and capturing the essence of the festival’s magical setting on Bayou St. John. The poster, designed by talented artist Lillian Aguinaga, is available for pre-order and purchase, with orders shipping on April 10th.
Tickets for the Mid-City Bayou Boogaloo are selling fast, with $15.00 Single Day Tickets and $39.50 3-Day Weekend Passes currently available. Festival-goers can also opt for Crescent 9 Canopy Club VIP Passes, providing exclusive access to shaded areas, front-stage views, private restrooms, and complimentary beverages and local eats.
For those planning to enjoy the festival both on land and water, the Mid-City Bayou Boogaloo offers Water Weekend Passes with in/out privileges, while land-only Weekend Passes are also available. However, a new policy this year stipulates a $100.00 removal fee for homemade barges left in the bayou more than 24 hours after the festival ends.
