Baton Rouge Blues Festival Returns with Live Music, Food, and Art

The Baton Rouge Blues Festival and Foundation is gearing up for the annual Baton Rouge Blues Festival, set to take place April 21-23 at Rhorer Plaza, North Boulevard, and Lafayette Streets in Downtown Baton Rouge.

The free-to-the-public, family-friendly festival will feature regional and internationally-recognized performers and local blues legends. The festival will take place over three days and feature various musical acts, food, art, and activities.

On Friday, April 21, Visit Baton Rouge Swamp Blues Stage will feature Chris Leblanc, followed by an intermission by Gymfit. Hanna PK will take the stage at AARP Front Porch Stage.

Saturday, April 22, will have a busy schedule with numerous musical acts. The Visit Baton Rouge Swamp Blues Stage will feature The Peterson Brothers, Shannon McNally, TC Carter Band, Elizabeth King, Brother Dege, Tommy Castro & The Painkillers, and Southern Avenue. Meanwhile, the AARP Front Porch Stage will host Anais St. John, Dwight James & The Royals, Emily & The Fried Honeys, and DK Harrell. The LA 1 Stage will feature Troy Turner Band, Sam Hogan & The Rhythm Ramblers, Sundanze, and Veronica Lewis.

Blues Backstage Interviews will occur throughout the day, featuring musicians such as Shannon McNally, TC Carter Band, The Peterson Brothers, Elizabeth King, and more.

On Sunday, April 23, Sugarharp, Leonard “Lowdown” Brown, Mia Borders, and Luther Kent will perform at the Visit Baton Rouge Swamp Blues Stage. The LA 1 Stage will feature Clay Melton, Kristen Diable, and RL Boyce & Lightnin Malcolm.

The festival is free to attend, but the BFF (BluesFest Fan) Experience Pass is available for those who want something extra. Each pass, priced at $200, includes complimentary food and beverages, a private bar and bathrooms, exclusive area to mingle, dance, or sit and watch the festivities.
