According to Rich Webster of NOLA.com, Frenchmen Street hotspot Bamboula’s has filed a lawsuit against the City of New Orleans.

The lawsuit, which was filed last month, calls the overlay district that governs Frenchmen Street unconstitutional and calls for its immediate repeal.

Bamboula’s has run into legal trouble before, having been denied a change in its city-issued permit to allow for a heavier reliance on drink sales as opposed to food sales.
