The Avett Brothers will headline the Saenger Theatre when they swing through New Orleans on Thursday, March 30.
Much like their English counterparts, Mumford & Sons, the North Carolina string band has developed a large following with their accessible take on folk rock and bluegrass. The group’s latest album, 2016’s True Sadness, was produced by Rick Rubin and reached #1 on Billboard’s Top Albums Chart.
The Avett Brothers last performed in New Orleans when they headlined Champions Square, with support from Old Crow Medicine Show, in July 2015. The band also closed out the Gentilly Stage during Jazz Fest 2014.
Tickets for The Avett Brothers’ show at the Saenger will go on sale at 10am on Saturday, November 26.
