The Ascona Jazz Festival was held from June 23 to July 2 in Ascona, Switzerland. Hosting jazz stars from around the world, the festival aimed to capture the music and culture of New Orleans through jazz, blues, and funky vibes. While musicians rocked their stages for the 10-day festival that hosted over 180 concerts, attendees could feast on the tasty eats of New Orleans.
Many artists came straight from the Big Easy itself, including pianist Davell Crawford, trombonist Glen David Andrews, trumpeter Shamarr Allen, Lillian Boutté, the Tremé Brass Band, Aurora Nealand & Tom McDermott duo, the All Star Band from the Palm Court Jazz Caffè, The New Orleans Jazz Vipers, Herlin Riley, and Jason Marsalis.
