Imagine an art show that features visual art, comedians, spoken word and musicians, to guide you along your artist journey in an Art Garage with all of the tools to guide you into crafting your artistic muse. What about materials such as leftover Mardi Gras costumes bits, watercolors that go unused, sequins, recyclables, Trader Joe’s paper bags, and many many more? The perfect artist safe haven exists, and it’s called Who Arted?!. What better place than New Orleans to throw an event where people are allowed to see, feel, hear and touch the artist inside themselves.
On September 28, the show will showcase at The Art Garage on 2231 St. Claude Ave. from 7 pm. to 11:30 p.m. There will be a $10 cover charge for all attendees. The event has one main message they want their attendees to uphold which is to look, listen and create. There will be a craft station for those who feel inspired to create, and it is encouraged to bring any recyclable materials you may have to the event space. The show will feature visual artist, Kara Heck. The air will be serenaded by the musical sounds of Dianella (who are also hosting this event) and The Ship of Fools. There will also be entertainment by the comedy duo stylings of Liz Devito and Danielle Ryce (Lyce).
