Art Camp 504, the student-run art studio, has announced the inclusion of an extra week of summer camp dedicated to creative writing and illustration. From Monday, August 7 to Friday, August 11, participants can explore their creative interests at the Tigermen Den from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Students who previously attended the Creative Writing camp are invited to return and continue working on their books or begin a sequel. Additionally, the week will also focus on finalizing a coloring book. Further details will be announced in due course.
The Creative Writing and Illustration camp costs $325 per week. Aftercare services are available from 3:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. at a drop-in rate of $20 or a weekly rate of $75.
Art Camp 504 is known for its student-driven approach, allowing participants to explore their creative interests in many artistic directions, including music. Various projects are presented at the beginning of each week, and students choose their preferred focus. The camp emphasizes the importance of setting achievable goals and effective time management. It strives to foster a supportive community where students feel empowered to make decisions and cultivate creativity. All forms of artistic expression are encouraged and independent projects are welcome.
