Experimental pop band Animal Collective will bring perform in New Orleans on Monday, November 14. The Civic Theater show will conclude an almost year-long tour in support of their 10th studio album, 2016’s Painting With.
Animal Collective has always experimented with its live performances, distorting and stretching songs so that they vary from recorded versions. The band’s current tour reportedly features cartoon Dada visuals to match the content of their latest record.
Aniaml Collective has also announced a new mini-festival for later this year. The camping festival will take place September 23-24 at the Fernwood Resort in Big Sur, CA, and will feature nightly performances by Animal Collective. Also performing at the festival will be WIFE, Winter, The Range of Light Wilderness, M. Gedd Gengras and Jessica Pratt.
Tickets for the New Orleans show will go on sale Friday, March 25 via Ticketmaster, while passes for the festival will be available through EventBrite starting Wednesday, M
