The Wednesday at the Square concert series continued yesterday with a double bill of heavy, bluesy roots rock courtesy of Anders Osborne and opener Honey Island Swamp Band. The two artists split this year’s Best of the Beat Awards roots rock category, with Osborne winning Best Roots Rock Album for his American Patchwork record and Honey Island Swamp Band taking home Best Roots Rock Artist. Next week’s Wednesday at the Square show will feature Irvin Mayfield’s Jazz Playhouse Revue.
