Save Our Cemeteries – the organization responsible for the restoration and preservation of the city’s historic cemeteries – announced its All Saints Soirée fundraiser. In partnership with New Orleans Catholic Cemeteries, the October 26 event. Taking place against a backdrop of New Orleans’ unique and historic above-ground tombs at St. Louis Cemetery No. 3, the event will feature a patron party that includes a special presentation by Honorary Chair Poppy Tooker, producer and host of Louisiana Eats!, paired with specialty food and cocktails.

The Soirée party will follow with entertainment by the Truffle Honeys and the Courtyard Kings, tours of the cemetery, wine and spirits, and a live auction. “We are excited to partner with New Orleans Catholic Cemeteries for our Soirée fundraiser on the grounds of such a beautiful cemetery,” states Amanda Walker, Executive Director at Save Our Cemeteries. “The proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit our ongoing and future preservation and restoration projects, like the ‘Open Tombs’ project that we are currently conducting in city cemeteries.”
