All-male comedy ballet, The Trocks to perform in NOLA

An all-male comedy ballet, The Trocks will perform in NOLA Saturday, January 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts as part of the ’22-’23 New Orleans Ballet Association season.

Also known by their full title, Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, The Trocks has performed parodies of ballet classics since 1974.

Since those beginnings, the group has been established as a dance phenomenon throughout the world, with their numerous tours being praised by ballet aficionados as well as the uninitiated— “those who don’t know a plié from a jeté.”

Expertly blending humor with extraordinary athletic artistry, The Trocks are “one of the great comic creations of the American stage” (San Francisco Chronicle) and guaranteed to bring audiences to their feet with “pure joy” (The Seattle Times).

The Trocks have been called by the Sydney Star Observer, “a guaranteed hoot for people who know nothing of ballet, and an absolute must for those who think they know the originals.”

Tickets for Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo range from $35 to $169 and are available for purchase here. Discounts for seniors (65 and over) and students are also available.
