The New Orleans stop of the Here Come The Funny Tour, which features Adam Sandler, David Spade and Rob Schneider’s, has been cancelled as Sandler is reportedly too ill to perform. The show was scheduled to take place tonight—Thursday, December 8—at the UNO Lakefront Arena.
The Here Comes The Funny Tour will continue tomorrow with a show in Philadelphia. Refunds for the New Orleans date will be available at the point of purchase.
Here Comes The Funny marks the latest outing from the three comedians, who all teamed up earlier this year for The Do-Over Tour in support of Sandler and Spade’s Netflix original movie, The Do-Over. The ongoing tour also features Reno 911! mainstay Nick Swardson, a veteran of numerous Sandler films who headlined New Orleans’ Hell Yes Fest earlier this year (and spoke to us about his old sketch comedy program Nick Swardson’s Pretend Time, representing Barq’s Root Beer and more).
As previously reported, Sandler, Spade and Schneider’s old Saturday Night Live castmate, Chris Rock, just announced a pair of New Orleans shows for next year. The stops will be part of Rock’s first comedy tour in over nine years, so hopefully he stays healthy enough to perform.
