The 6th Annual Gospel Music Festival will be held on September 13th at 6:00 p.m. at the Historic Carver Theater in the Treme.

The Archdiocese of New Orleans Office of Black Ministries is sponsoring the event along with the Historic Carver Theater Foundation, 2-Cent Entertainment, Second Harvest Food Bank, and the Jazz and Heritage Foundation.

Choirs from St. Peter Claver, St. Katharine Drexel and St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Churches, plus the Arc Singers will perform, in addition to other gospel acts.

The event is free and open to the public, however, attendees are encouraged to bring canned goods and non-perishables to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank.
