The 4th of July awkwardly falls on a Wednesday this year, bringing with it a welcomed midweek break. This year, 4th Fest in Crescent Park returns for the 2018 iteration of the family-friendly celebration including a fireworks display, live music, food and more.
As always, Crescent Park will serve its primarily role as one of the best vantage points from which to watch the fireworks show over the Mississippi River. This year’s 4th Fest, presented by the French Market Corporation, kicks off at 4:30 p.m. and runs on the following schedule:
5:30-6:30 p.m.: The WWII Museum’s Victory Belles at Mandeville Wharf
7-9 p.m.: Bag of Donuts at Mandeville Wharf
7-9 p.m.: Pan Vibrations at Piety Wharf
9 p.m.: Mississippi River Dueling Barges Fireworks Show
Gulf Tacos, Curly Q Fry Company and Li’ Dustin’s Italian Ice will be on site as food vendors, but folks are welcome to bring their own snacks and beverages.
