The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation’s Concert Series continues on Saturday, April 30, with with Brian Quezergue at the George and Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center. Doors open at 8pm and the concert begins promptly at 9pm.

This concert features the Quezergue R&B Revue, performing a special musical tribute to Brian’s father, legendary arranger and composer Wardell Quezergue.

Brian Quezergue is a sought-after New Orleans bassist who skillfully performs a variety of music genres. He has performed with the likes of the Wild Magnolias, Kidd Jordan, the late Alvin Batiste, Clyde Kerr Jr. and many others. He has served as the bassist for St. Peter Claver Catholic Church since 1994 and has been involved with the Louis Armstrong Jazz Camp since 1995, starting as a student and becoming the bass instructor in 2004. He is currently a music instructor for Firstline Schools. Brian received his undergraduate degree in instrumental music education from Southern University at New Orleans, and his master’s degree from the University of New Orleans. Mr. Quezergue is currently recording his next album, with a tentative release this fall. His 2010 release, Reflections, is available on digital platforms.

Tickets are $15. Seating is limited, so please register in advance. All proceeds from this concert series directly support efforts of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation.
