Bouncy rock ‘n’ roll meets bayou flare on Dylan Frederick’s new release, “You’re My Baby.” The young musician is on the come up in the music scene, just beginning his solo career in 2018, but is far from a musical novice. With his old school style and wisdom on “You’re My Baby,” Frederick is sure to keep rising further and further with his new releases.
Frederick released his debut album Rip it Up in the Fall of 2018 and made a name for himself by promoting his work on various radio and television shows and through live appearances. Frederick created “You’re My Baby” in an attempt to find inspiration for other work. “Playing rockabilly music, I naturally gravitated towards the Sun Records roster to really get in the swing of things,” the 22 year old singer said. “After stumbling on some old Roy Orbison records, I had an itch to cut my own version of ‘You’re My Baby,’” he said.
The talented musician and Breaux Bridge native was able to track the whole song in just one take, just like how musicians in the time of Roy Orbison would’ve. “It felt like the best way to pay homage to the guys that brought us all that great music,” Frederick said. Check out “You’re My Baby” and be ready to want to swing, party, and sing along to the classic-sounding hit.
Dylan Frederick is set to release a elf titled full length album in late 2019. For more information about Dylan, check out his website.
