United Bakery Records has begun preparation for its third annual revue, an event featuring live acts from New Orleans artists and exclusive opportunities for viewers. The live performance event is an intriguing experience that allows all viewers to see for themselves what goes into creating a collaborative record.
United Bakery Records Revue is continuing its tradition created for the last two years: the bands and artists will perform for an audience live at Marigny Studios. Each set from all 12 artists will be recorded live, creating a rare and personal exposure for both the performers and audience. One track from each artist or group will then be selected to create a compilation record release at the end of the live appearances.
With an additional day of performances being added this year for the first time, the lineup has increased in both number of artists and diversity by adding a wider group of talent for every listener to enjoy. Local acts will be the main event and will perform genres from all across the board. With a total of 12 performers over the three days, United Bakery Records Revue is the perfect place to keep the musical inspiration going after the first long weekend of Jazz Fest. The performances will take place on Monday, April 29 and continue until Wednesday, May 1.
This year’s event will be the first showcase since a partnership between United Bakery Records and Louisiana Red Hot Records. The vinyl and digital recordings will be released internationally through the Louisiana Red Hot Records.
Doors open to the public at 6:00 p.m. on all three days. Tickets are available here.
