When the release of Basin Street Records’ Live At Little Gem Saloon:Basin Street Records Celebrates 20 Years is toasted this weekend, music fans will be treated to a series of performances from some of New Orleans’ greatest musicians.

Kermit Ruffins, Davell Crawford, Dr. Michael White, Irvin Mayfield and Lena Prima are on tap for the album release party, which takes place at the historic Little Gem Saloon.

The release party is on Saturday, January 12. Ruffins will perform at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. He’ll be joined by Crawford, White and Mayfield for the 7 p.m. set. For the 9 p.m. set, he’ll again be joined by Mayfield as well as Prima.

In her review of Live At Little Gem Saloon for OffBeat‘s December 2018 issue, Geraldine Wyckoff wrote, “The beauty of this album is that it’s the real deal, which also accurately describes the musicians as well as Basin Street Records, a New Orleans label through and through. What you hear is what you get from these pros…All of the artists bring talent, history and fun to the setting.”
