This year, the organizers of the much-loved Oak Street Po-Boy Festival will continue the tradition by offering a sampling of local food vendors’ best and award-winning po-boy offerings with a revamped “to-go” event format. Po-boy patrons and enthusiasts can show their support by preordering their food items online via Shopify and picking up their takeout orders on-site at participating local eateries on the day of the “To-Go” event. The 2020 Oak Street Po-Boy “To-Go” Fest officially takes place on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the following participating restaurants throughout metro New Orleans:
Ajun Cajun
Ale on Oak
Boucherie/Bourrée

Crabby Jacks

All proceeds from the festival will benefit participating restaurants as well as Son of a Saint, the longtime beneficiary partner of the festival. Son of a Saint is the New Orleans-based 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of fatherless boys throughout Greater New Orleans.
“While we cannot gather as we have in the past, we can still celebrate our beloved sandwich!” said organizers of Oak Street Po-Boy Festival.
“This partnership with the Oak Street Po-Boy Fest is both critical and gratifying for Son of a Saint and a strong support to the community of young men we serve in our program,” said Son of a Saint Founder and CEO Bivian “Sonny” Lee III. “Though this has been an atypical year with its fair share of challenges, we’re glad to have this level of continued commitment and collaboration. We’re excited for what’s to come on Dec. 5th.”
Ahead of the Po-Boy “To-Go” festival, the Oak Street Merchants Residents and Property Owners association is encouraging New Orleanians to visit the Oak Street shopping district on Nov. 28 to support Small Business Saturday.
