A group of New Orleans musicians will converge on the House of Blues on Saturday, July 12 for the 2014 New Orleans Beatles Festival to celebrate 50 years of Beatlemania.
Now in its 12th year, the four hour concert showcases the entire career and songbook of the Beatles. Each epic phase of the Fab Four’s journey will be represented, starting with the band’s early days in Hamburg, Germany, through their groundbreaking American performances in 1964, the Sgt. Pepper Psychedelic Revolution of 1967, and into their solo material in the 1970s and 1980s.
Performers for the 2014 New Orleans Beatles Festival include The Topcats, Chuck Credo IV, The Molly Ringwalds, The Mixed Nuts, Rockin’ Dopsie Jr., Alex McMurray, Cass Faulconer of Cowboy Mouth, Robin Barnes, Bill Malchow, Jimmy Robinson of Twangorama, The Pocket Aces Brass Band, Tim Shirah, Jim Lockwood, Beebe Tran, and many surprise guests.
