Although the songs on Come Out and Play are predictable and reminiscent of too many songs to mention, they are nevertheless interesting and fun. All the material contains smart trumpet solos with the reggae song “Lift Me Up” the standout. The last three cuts “Fall, II & III” don’t seem to belong, and leaving them out may have made for a better presentation.
