Terranova’s an all-woman trio that walks the line between punk and metal like L7 once did, but there’s nothing that obviously marks Tried & True as female in the performance or the point of view. They play hard and tell tales of bad behavior, two things that neither gender has a monopoly on, and the songs have choruses that hook quickly and easily. Terranova would likely benefit from making a friend, though, perhaps a lead guitarist who can shred to add a little dimension to the verses and some fresh excitement mid-song once the verses and choruses have become familiar.
