Vancouver-based jazz singer and teacher Colleen Savage joins Tulane Professor John Doheny and a cast of other session musicians from New Orleans for a CD of classy jazz standards. Although Savage’s vocals are effective, it’s the contributions of New Orleans musicians that make this CD noteworthy.
