Ten Years Gone: Lafayette’s Brass Bed courts national attention

The Secret Will Keep You, the third album from Lafayette psychedelic-pop band Brass Bed, inspired national acclaim in 2013. NPR, The New Yorker, Spin, Paste, VICE, Mother Jones and more praised the band’s Beach Boys and Beatles–tinged songs.

The album also brought Brass Bed a prestigious Tiny Desk concert at NPR in Washington, D.C. All of that positive attention left singer-guitarist Christiaan Mader feeling validated.
